Curriculum

CDELA offers outstanding curricula that are aligned to the educational standards of Colorado.  Lessons and assignments are geared to help each student excel, with deadlines to help keep students on pace to succeed.

Kindergarten
CDELA uses a text-based curriculum from McGraw-Hill.

Grades 1-6
CDELA offers CompassLearning (an online-based curriculum that allows immediate evaluation and feedback of submitted tests, quizzes, and projects).

Grades 7-8
CDELA offers the Plato/A+ Learning curriculums, the student receives online instruction in math, language arts, science, and social studies, supplemented by Glencoe Mathematics workbooks and Saxon mathematics curriculum. Offline projects help students synthesize the concepts they learn.

Grades 9-12
CDELA offers a diverse, yet challenging distance-learning curriculum ,including Advanced Placement courses  to provide students with the opportunity to earn a state of Colorado accredited diploma. Students work on about five or six courses at a time and use various award-winning electronic curriculum sources that are integrated with online and offline assignments. CDELA’s curriculum is available to students seven days a week, 24 hours a day, allowing students to indulge upon the learning style that works best for them.

Students with Special Needs:
CDELA provides a special education program in accordance with current federal and state regulations and guidelines. This program is individualized to meet the unique needs of each child with a disability. CDELA provides a multi-factored educational evaluation as needed for each student with a disability – and for any student who is suspected of having a disability.
